DUPLEX 2101
2101 is a duplex (austenitic-ferritic) stainless steel with relatively low contents of alloying elements. It has high mechanical strength than austenitic stainless steels. Its good corrosion resistance is on par with that of most standard stainless steel grades. Combined these properties, 2101 can be utilized to optimize design with respect to strength, maintenance, durability and long-term cost efficiency.

Fabrication and Heat Treatment
2101 can be readily formed using various cold and hot working processes.

Welding
2101 generally have good weldability and can be welded using most of the welding methods used for austenitic stainless steel: SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCW, PAW, SAW, Laser welding, Resistance welding and High frequency welding.
